Blom Writing Services has been busy since our last update! Our Director and Senior Writing Consultant still prioritizes providing valuable writing consultations, but he is now also teaching courses at UNC-Chapel Hill on composition and on literature. Since our last update, we’ve also returned to Johannesburg, South Africa and Mbabane, Swaziland to work with a Yale University Summer Session study-abroad course. We’ve composed original publications (an academic book chapter and a journal article, among others) and conference papers and have partnered with production companies for short promotional videos and films. We are fully settled in at our new physical location in Chapel Hill, NC, but remember, we can work in-person with local clients and we can work online with clients from across the country. A lot has changed since our last news update! In the last eighteen months, we returned to Johannesburg, South Africa and Mbabane, Swaziland and once again lectured for a Yale University study-abroad course. We wrote scripts for promotional videos. We edited and wrote quarterly newsletters. We presented at academic conferences. We co-wrote scripts for short narrative films, one of which has been selected for several film festivals and was even nominated for some film festival awards! We had an original piece of scholarship published as a book chapter. And now we have relocated our physical headquarters from New Lenox, IL to Chapel Hill, NC! We are still available to work with clients throughout the country, but we look forward to working face-to-face with professional and academic clients in and around the Chapel Hill area! 2015 was a busy year for Blom Writing Services! We updated our website and made a new promotional video (it's at the top of this page). We traveled to Atlanta, GA; Winston-Salem, NC; Pilar, Paraguay; Johannesburg, South Africa; and Mbabane, Swaziland. We wrote and co-wrote scripts for promotional videos. We presented at academic conferences. We lectured for a Yale University study-abroad course.
